Do you still sell your Guerrilla Drum Making DVD?
No. All the material from the DVD is available for instant viewing when you join our low cost membership plan. You'll also see tons more custom drum making tutorials that we add monthly.
What is included when I subscribe to the monthly drum making tutorials?
You get access to all drum making videos + new videos added monthly. Our lessons are clear and intuitive... you'll pick them up in minutes, not days or weeks. When I subscribe to GDM Online, do I have to make the payment each month or is this automatic?
The monthly payment is automatically debited from your account. This happens automatically every 30 days from the date you signed up and it will pull from the original payment method you used to signup with.
I have a question about drum making methods, where do I ask it?
If you're already a GDM Online Member, then ask your question on the appropriate video in the "Comment" box. If you're not a GDM Online Member, please don't ask us questions, we're busy helping our customers.
I have an idea for a drum making tutorial, where do I submit this?
Wow, you're awesome! If you want to submit an idea for a tutorial, follow these steps. Log in with your Username and password ----> Click on My Account (top right) ----> Scroll to bottom of page and contact us with provided e-mail address.
Where do I get materials to build my kit?
Wow... even though we've gotten this question for years, it's only till now that we can finally say...(drum roll please)..... you can get your supplies from us! Finally, we are starting to offer full drum building supplies to our GDM Online members. These will be the same parts and supplies that the big boy custom drum companies use.
Do you show different lug layouts?
Unfortunately no, we don't. Just kidding.. of corse we do. We've attacked the most stressful part of drum building with the easiest and most creative solutions that ensure your kit is playable and looks professional. Whether you want an in line, 50% offset, 7/8" offset, or other custom looks, our hardware layout techniques are foolproof. You can achieve all the custom offset lugs or tension rod offsets that any drum company uses. Our hand drilling instructions are just as easy, ensuring that you have the tips to avoid inner shell blowouts, lacquer cracks, miss-drills, acrylic busts and more.
Will I be building my drum shells from scratch?
No. We recommend ordering pre-made so you can get quality that you can rely on. Building your own drum shells takes tons of time, money, and trial and error. We'd rather spend that time behind the kit, so let's leave drum shell making to the pros. But... that doesn't mean we won't offer some tutorials in the future on this subject :)
How much money will I save if I make my own drum set?
The endless possibilities of drum finishes and shell options makes this question hard to give an exact answer, but our customers have saved anywhere from $600 to $3,000. With Guerrilla Drum Making, you'll build a kick ass drum set for the cost of the parts. Oh, and did we mention that these are the same parts that custom and major drum companies use?
What tools do I need? Where do I get supplies?
The lessons in GDM Online are structured to avoid the need for specialized equipment. So the good news is that a drill is the only power tool you’ll need for now. When you get into routing your own shells, cutting shells, and some more advanced stuff... then you'll have to step up and get a few tools. But all the other materials used can be easily bought at a local hardware store.
